Services
My range of services extends from treating acute gastrointestinal complaints to complex abdominal wall reconstruction. I focus on preventive measures and early diagnostics, such as endoscopic procedures, to detect diseases promptly, and I support minimally invasive interventions with the state-of-the-art DaVinci system.
Thanks to robot-assisted procedures, particularly in reflux and hernia surgery, I can treat even complex cases through single 8mm incisions. My focus is on achieving long-term, optimal outcomes, and I continuously update my knowledge through ongoing education and exchange with international experts. This ensures my patients benefit from innovative techniques that offer maximum safety while enabling rapid and effective recovery.
Your health deserves individualized solutions – for this, I combine general surgical expertise with specialized knowledge.
Modern Ultrasound Diagnostics
Many surgical conditions can now be reliably diagnosed during the first visit. By combining a specialist examination with high-resolution ultrasound imaging, it is often possible to determine immediately whether conservative treatment, further evaluation, or surgical intervention is appropriate.
As a board-certified specialist in general and visceral surgery with a focus on hernia and abdominal wall surgery, I offer prompt surgical evaluation, including state-of-the-art ultrasound diagnostics. Among other tools, I use the SonoEye mobile ultrasound system, which enables high-resolution imaging directly as part of the clinical evaluation. In many cases, this allows us to avoid additional radiological examinations. The goal is to provide patients with a clear medical assessment and a well-founded treatment recommendation as early as the first appointment.
A surgical evaluation is particularly recommended in cases of acute or newly onset abdominal pain, as well as when appendicitis is suspected or in cases of gallbladder symptoms. This approach also allows for the rapid assessment of unexplained abdominal symptoms, known diverticular disease, or follow-up evaluations of existing conditions.
In addition, ultrasound diagnostics allows for a precise assessment of lumps or swellings under the skin, such as lipomas, atheromas, ganglions, or other soft tissue changes, as well as symptoms in the coccyx region. It also serves as an important tool for postoperative monitoring, for example, to assess seromas, hematomas, scar conditions, or following previous hernia surgeries and other surgical procedures.
The focus is not solely on imaging, but on the immediate surgical assessment of the findings. This provides patients with rapid reassurance and a clear basis for decision-making regarding the next steps in their treatment, often without the need for additional appointments or unnecessary tests.
